We Now Have Digital Radiography

 

We are very excited about the addition of digital radiography (D.R.) for both general and dental x-rays.  
 

D.R. enables us to obtain much higher quality radiographs and much faster than ever before.   There is no film involved just an unbelievably clear and sharp diagnostic image viewed on a computer screen within 30 seconds of taking the x-ray!   This image is then be exported to a viewing station in one of our exam rooms for client viewing and the images are e-mailed to a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist for further consultation and diagnostics.   As in human medicine all of our radiographs are reviewed by a radiologist.
 

 

In the past, the films had to be sent by courier or mail to the radiologist for viewing.   This would delay the reading of our filmsfrom anywhere from1 - 5 days.   Now we can consult with the radiologist when necessary and get an immediate interpretation while both our doctor and the radiologist are viewing the images at the same time.

 

 

The end result is that this technology enables us to provide better care for your pet and better service for our valued clients.   We would be happy to answer any questions regarding D.R. or any other pet related questions or concerns.
